The Hotel Riu Plaza España, located in the emblematic Edificio España on Madrid’s Gran Vía, has 27 floors with a wide range of facilities to make your stay a memorable experience. Deluxe rooms are available for AIJA Congress participants at a preferential rate. Make sure you book early to stay at the congress venue. Please note that Madrid tends to be busy at that time of the year.
Deadline
The deadline for booking is 30 June 2024 (subject to availability in AIJA room block by this date). As of 1 July, should the AIJA room block be sold out, guests may inquire for availability and rates via the Riu Plaza España Hotel website.

The congress preferential rate will be available 3 days before and 3 days after the event date on request.
Check-in & check-out
The rooms shall be made available starting from 15:00 on check-in day and must be vacated by 12:00 (noon) on check-out day. The Hotel will act best to arrange a maximum number of rooms available upon arrival of attendees according to flight arrivals and hotel availability.
Cancellation Policy
Rooms may be cancelled and reservations amended free of charge until 30 days prior to the arrival date. After this deadline, the room cost for the full stay duration will be charged to the credit card details of the individual attendee(s) provided for guarantee or the pre-payment will be retained. To avoid any penalty fee, the option to transfer a booking to another congress delegate will be allowed at no cost (any difference in the number of overnights will remain at the charge of the initial guest)
Payment and Confirmation
The payment of the full stay will be requested beforehand, via a payment link to be provided by the Riu Plaza España Hotel in the confirmation e-mail. A proof of payment will be requested in order to guarantee the reservation.
