Nan Sato

Fisher Phillips, USA

Nan Sato is a labor and employment attorney with a focused background in international data privacy. Nan’s experience includes advising clients on comprehensive aspects of global privacy, including compliance with international privacy regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She holds professional certifications in Information Privacy in Europe and Canada (CIPP/E and CIPP/C).

In addition to her work concerning data privacy law, Nan has extensive experience in Sports Law. She has advised governing bodies, sports clubs, sponsors, and promotional agencies on contract negotiations and dispute resolutions. Notably, she has represented clients before the Court of Arbitration for Sports and the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber, specifically in employment disputes.  She has advised national sports governing bodies, players’ associations, sponsors, as well as athletes in various sports.

A recognized authority on cross-border legal issues, Nan is a sought-after speaker and writer on international employment law topics. She lectures on “VR in Sports” and “Employment Issues in eSports” at the Spain-based Higher Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) and serves on the editorial board of LawInSport.

Til Quadflieg

Til Quadflieg has many years of experience in patent infringement and nullity proceedings, strategic patent law advice, employee invention law and successful cooperation with patent attorneys. Among others, he has handled numerous litigations in the fields of telecommunications, information technology and pharmaceuticals. Most recently, Til Quadflieg has also given several lectures in Hamburg and Berlin on the patenting of digital technologies and software as well as on eco-innovation. He also has extensive knowledge of the unitary patent system (“EU patent”), which is why he will soon publish a book on this topic.

Til Quadflieg has extensive experience in trademark infringement proceedings (including preliminary injunction proceedings), strategic trademark counseling and opposition proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) and the EU Trademark Office (EUIPO). He files applications for the registration of German trademarks, EU trademarks and IR trademarks and manages trademark portfolios.

Azmul Haque

Azmul is a tri-qualified lawyer, admitted to practice law in England, India, and Singapore. Over the last 20 years, Azmul has developed particular expertise in complex, cross-border corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and strategic alliances, private equity, venture and angel financing), commercial contracts involving technology-related matters (SAAS, PAAS, outsourcing, franchising and licensing) and regulatory matters in a range of areas that impact business (corporate governance, securities & futures regulations, data protection, crypto-currency regulation) and evaluating innovative business models disrupting traditional industries.

Azmul has worked extensively with MNC and Asian corporations, family-owned businesses, and high-net worth individuals. His geographical experience spans South Asia, particularly the India-Singapore corridor, ASEAN and the Middle East. He has lived and worked in Mumbai, Singapore and London.

He has been rated as a leading practitioner for the TMT sector, and focusses currently on clients in emerging technology such as FinTech, HealthTech, AdTech, Big Data, IOT, BlockChain, Internet & e-Commerce.
